Last night Scott told me that he can't hug me anymore, just not in so many words.
"There is just too much belly for it to feel natural."
"I don’t have King Kong arms to stretch around you."
At least Henry will still hug me...sometimes.

Small is a Relative Term
This entire pregnancy I have been told that my belly is small for how far along I am. I just tell them it is hidden by the clothes.
Yesterday I went to the doctor for my 35 week appointment. The doctor confirmed that I was measuring small. However, she put it all in perspective...
Small for me still means at least a 9 pounder!

The Bump Upon the Bump
My bump has a bump. My belly button timer has been going off for quite some time now. Some people comment on it, others choose to ignore it. I am both of those people at different times. Sometimes I don't mind that it sticks out further than my already protruding bump, or I forget that it is even there. Other times though I'm a bit self-conscious of it.
The other night it was intriguing me. The fact that there are no more crevices, it is completely turned inside out. It goes back in when I lay down, but I can push it like a pop button on a sealed jar when I sit up. Then I squeezed it, pinched it really. Nothing happened. I didn't expect it to.
I told Scott later what I had done and that it was at that point a little sore. His response was that I should be thankful I have a button* and should not abuse it in that way.
I haven't touched it again.
*Scott is one without a belly button and gets upset during any belly button misconduct because of it.

Let the fighting begin!
Yesterday while I was reading Henry some stories he got kicked. Luckily he didn't notice, or didn't react. This has been happening for some time now, it just hasn't been felt from the outside. I could actually see this one though.
When I'm changing Henry's clothes or diaper he constantly has to have a foot (or two) on my belly. I think he knows what he is doing and it is his way of showing dominance over the little one.

3 Months to go
Another month done. Time is starting to speed up...and run out. I know that it is still 3 months, but it doesn't seem that long.
Scott admitted to talking about me to the pregnant women that he works with. His comment as to if I complain:
Scott: "How about you tell me when you DON'T have heartburn or a sore tailbone?"
He of course hadn't told ME that he thought I was complaining a lot. Now I know, and haven't said a word since...well, I've tried not to say a word. But really, how would he share in the pregnancy if I didn't tell him about all of its joys?!

4 Months to go
Another doctor visit today. I was a little nervous about the weighing in, but after the flu this week that was no problem. In fact, she told me to eat more! Who doesn't want to hear that?! She knows I'm not aiming for a 11 or 12 pounder, but still wants to see more calories. I'll get right on that.
Everything else checked out great. Next month is my glucose test. I remember that not being too bad with Henry so I'm hoping it turns out the same way this time.
